Garmisch

We just came home from a weekend in Garmisch with Matt, Lisa, and the girls. It's just beautiful there. Zoe and I took a nice long walk, and I tried to get a picture of her sitting up in the grass. She's working on it, but still falls to the side after a second or two. (You can see my hand holding her up in the picture.)

At the hotel, I took her in the pool, and she really loved it. At first, her lower lip started quivering, and I'm sure she was thinking, "This is a lot colder than the bathtub!" After a minute or two, she got used to the cool water. We'd have stayed in longer, but a major code brown forced us out of the water. Boy, I sure hope Edelweiss uses bleach on their towels...

Sitting Up...and Falling Down

Zoe has been trying hard to sit up by herself. Just the other day, I gave her some toys to play with while she was sitting up. Watch the progression of her sitting up with her toys, to her face-plant into the couch. We need to work on this!

Jumping

Zoe had a great time in her Jolly Jumper today. She's finally figured it out! Lately, all she wants to do is stand. Here she is standing on the kitchen counter. Click here to see a video of Zoe in her Jolly Jumper.

The Turtle

Zoe has temporarily found a new toy...the turtle. I say temporarily, because as of the time of this posting, she's back to her favorite, the butterfly. However, this week she really enjoyed playing with the turtle. She's starting to really interact with her toys, grasping, pinching, and pulling them, and is making all kinds of sounds. She also has drool that seems to be constantly dripping from her lips!

Easter and Barcelona

We just got home from a wonderful vacation in Barcelona with Jill and Lucas. Although it wasn't the most stroller-friendly city, I will say it's full of stroller-friendly people who helped us get up those long flights of stairs. We spent hours each day walking around, seeing the sights, and enjoying the beautiful weather. Everyone loved seeing the "Easter Bunny" on Sunday. :-)
