Enjoying the Summer!

We've been home about a week now, and we are having a blast! Pop-Pop, Zoe, and I take a walk every day. It's been very hot and sunny here, so Zoe's gotten used to wearing sunglasses a lot. Zoe is having a great time with her cousins, and for the first time, she called someone by name. She usually only does this for me, my dad (Pop Pop) and, well, that is all. I mean, she can say someone's name if I say, "Zoe, who is that?" But now, she calls her cousins to come play. It's so cute. She calls Pierce "Purse" and Jenna "Nenna", and she says "Mere" for come here. She is really having a word explosion right now. She's naming everything, and putting words together to make complete sentences. Of course, there is a downside to all the cousins talking to her -- the older ones are teaching her all the bad words! :-) The one thing we've been working on is the pool. Last year, she loved it! This year, she was a little hesitant for the first few days. Yesterday, Jenna swam for hours with us in the pool. By the end of the afternoon, Zoe was jumping off the side of the pool into my arms. She would swim with me for a minute or two, then say "Again!" to jump off the side of the pool again. She now loves the water! Yeah! I haven't taken her to the beach yet, but I think she'll love that since she loves her sandbox.

Strawberry Picking

Today we went strawberry picking with Keely, Will, and Ava Lily. It was a little cooler today than the last time we went, but we still had fun. Zoe, of course, eats way more than she puts in our box!

Zoe Loves To Read!

As soon as Zoe woke up today, she asked for a book. I didn't even have a chance to get her dressed before she decided she wanted to sit in her rocking chair with puppy and her pacifier and read. She loves books!

Helping Mommy In The Kitchen

Zoe loves to be in the kitchen whenever I'm cooking. Today I was making cupcakes for school, and she wanted to be a part of it. A few minutes of watching me was enough - once she discovered the bowl of strawberries on the counter she forgot about the cupcakes!

Covered in strawberry juice, she grabbed her phone and sat down to play.
