Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest

We went to the fest in Stuttgart today with Jill and Lucas. This was the first time Zoe was able to get on the rides all by herself. I was a nervous wreck when she went on the first one - my heart was racing each time her little truck went around the track. Thank goodness Lucas sat next to her to show her what to hold on to! By the second time around, she was smiling and waving at me and Jill. We went on lots of other rides, she was having so much fun. I even let her ride a pony and I took her on my lap on the swings. We had a great day! She was so worn out, she fell asleep on her bear while I was making dinner tonight. :-)

Jump Inn

Today Zoe and I went to Jump Inn with Keely and Ava Lily. It was our first time there, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Zoe and Ava Lily had such a good time chasing each other, jumping into ball pits, and climbing the obstacle course. Keely and I could hardly keep up! I jumped with Zoe on the trampolines for a bit, and I couldn't remember the last time I'd jumped on one...it must be 30 years ago! What a fun play date - we can't wait until next time!

Märchen Paradies

Today I took Zoe to Märchen Paradies at Königstuhl in Heidelberg. What a fun place! It's full of rides geared toward the very young. Zoe really enjoyed the puppets. We rode two different trains together, and I was able to snap a few pictures. We also rode carousel horses and little witches that went around a track. We'll be visiting this place again very soon!

Zoe's Baby

Zoe has a new little baby doll. She carries her doll all around, makes beds for it, pats it's back, and holds it so gently. Today she asked me for milk after she had just finished her own bottle. I decided to give her water instead, thinking she didn't need any more milk. Little did I know, the bottle wasn't for her, it was for her baby.

Zoe was moved to the 'big kid' table to eat, instead of eating off the tray on her high chair. The other day, I removed the tray and pushed her up to the table. You can see this is not working out. The tray was put back on her chair today.

A Visit From Grandma and Pop-Pop

Grandma and Pop-Pop left today after a very nice visit. It was so wonderful to have them here; they really enjoyed Zoe. She's changed so much since they last saw her 3 months ago. I had been teaching Zoe how to say "Grandma" and "Pop-Pop" for weeks; she finally mastered "Pop-Pop"! Unfortunately, "Grandma" was a little harder for her to say! However, by the end of their visit, my mom had taught Zoe how to say her name, and she was even asking for "Grandma" and "Pop-Pop" after they had left. We enjoyed a few days in Krakow, and the rest of our time in Heidelberg. Thankfully, the weather cooperated! Mom and Dad sure enjoyed taking Zoe on walks in her car. Dad even got Zoe playing Solitaire! You can see all the action took a toll on Zoe's feet, she's decided to give herself a pedicure!
