Water Baby

Zoe is so enjoying her time at the beach. She loves the pool, the ocean, and especially the boat. Here are a few pics from today; Zoe definitely has her sea legs!

She loves to take the suitcase around the house and say, "Bye! See you later!" like she's going on vacation. However, last night, she decided to make a little bed inside of it. She sure looks cozy!

Zoe has learned so many new words here, and she's even starting to talk in sentences. It just blows me away! What is sad is that some of the cutest things she used to say, she has corrected. She used to call herself "Wowie" because she couldn't say her z's, but now she can. If you try to call her Wowie, she'll correct you and say "ZOE!"

Early this morning she took a tumble down a few stairs and split her lip and bruised her forehead. Once I finally had her settled down, she started to walk away and tripped again - falling into the coffee table and splitting her lip on the other side! I felt so bad for her, but as you can see from the pictures above, it didn't ruin her day, she is such a happy child!

A Busy Summer!

We have been so busy enjoying our summer. Zoe is having a great time playing with all her cousins. She is running full speed from morning until night trying to keep up with all of them. She loves the beach and pool, and has turned into a real water baby. Zoe loves to jump off the side of the pool (into my arms) and even jumped off the boat to swim in the sound. Zoe is having a word explosion this summer, she is learning new words by the minute. One new word for her is my name, which she now calls me instead of "mom". Of course, her cousins taught her that, and she thinks it's the funniest thing ever. I have to admit, it is kind of funny to hear her call me 'Carlen'. She is fiercely independent and wants to do everything herself. She even got herself dressed the other day. She loves to go in the stroller and look for deer or birds along the way. She loves her grandma and Pop-Pop! She wakes grandma up every morning by standing next to her bed and handing her slippers and telling her to put on her glasses. Her new favorite thing to do is walk her dog - check out the pictures! So cute!
